Enjoy viewing years of my ceramic creativity in the Gallery, click above. I have played with many kinds of clay, experienced the artistry of forming and executing various techniques of glazing and methods of firing over many years. There is so much more to do!
Demonstrating at the county fair, being a scout ceramic merit badge instructor, leading clay projects in school classrooms, and teaching cultural themed clay days at the museum have all be very rewarding in sharing my knowledge of ceramics.
I still have my clay family of three snails I made in fourth grade, my sleeping cat from junior high school and my early potter’s wheel pieces form my first semester of college, but I became a jeweler for my profession and did not become dedicated to becoming a ceramic artist until my youngest child left for college.
It was then that I became serious about clay. I learned from notable ceramicists, developed my skills and now have a home studio. I have been accepted and won awards in many juried shows, including my one-woman show “Light & Heavy” at Golden West College, the annual NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) conference in St. Petersburg, being a featured artist at John Wayne Airport, and AMOCA (American Museum Of Ceramic Arts).
+ Clay is clean dirt and I love to play in it!
